How To Make An Animal Bookmarker

• Craft foam
• Craft card
• White glue
• Scissors
• Felt tips for decorating

Instructions:

Today we will be making a pig bookmarker.

Carefully cut out your shape, for the pig we also cut out a small circle for his snout.

Using felt tips give your animal a nice smiley face and glue on the snout.

Cut out a shape similar to ours for the animals arms and body. Use a paper template to make it easier.

If you fold your craft foam in half before you cut it out the arms will be the same on both sides.

Next cut a piece of craft card wide enough to cover about half way down your animals arms.

You can make yours as long as you like but ours is about 20cm.

Make a fold at the top of the card leaving enough to cover the body part of your animal.

Make a cut large enough to allow the neck of your animal to fit through.

Place your animals body inside the fold as shown on the right.

Using a ruler draw a t-shirt shape onto the card making sure the arms will line up with the sleeves.

Cut out your t-shirt shape and glue the body inside the fold.

Turn your bookmarker over and glue your animals head onto the front of the t-shirt.

You can make lots of different animal bookmarkers and even decorate the t-shirts or write a special message on them if they are a gift!
